Just remember, if you didn't bring matches, a dragon is your friend. :)

Warlords tend to have all the power they want in the areas they control.

Kaige: Rub two sticks together? I don't think so. *FWOOSH*

@GabrielsThoughts: What version of AT ARM'S LENGTH are you reading, GT? The version I read doesn't say one damn word about it being 'fine' for a bully to be a dictator; rather, it's making a diagnosis of a 'typical' warlord's mental state, and offering a tactic for exploiting that mental state for the benefit of the Good Guys.

@GabrielsThoughts: Yes, Ally said a warlord is a bully with too much power. Where the friggin' heck did she say "it is okay to be a bully so long as you don't have too much power"? Answer: She *didn't* say that. Naturalistic Fallacy: You're soaking in it, Gabe. I ask again, what version of AT ARM'S LENGTH are you reading? Whatever version that is, it doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do with the version that's being read by everyone except you, GT...

Boy, there's been some surprisingly heated/passionate comments made on such an innocent comic.

Let's see if I can find a tactful way to say this (unfortunately that's not my forte). I think you're reading too much into the choice of words Gabriel. Sure, it could have been written as just "a bully with power", but how much power does a bully need to have to go from simply being a bully to being a warlord/dictator? In this case, I believe the "too" is in reference to the fact that someone with a bully's mindset should not be able to have power at all. It's not so much in reference to an acceptable ammount of power, but rather that a warlord is a bully who has acquired a certain degree of power, refered to in inprecise terms as "too much". A bully is bad, a bully with real power (which most truly lack) is even worse, and having "too much power" (an undefined threshold that cannot be measured) transcends him from being a bully to a warlord. At his core he is still a bully, but he is more than that due to the level of power he has acquired.

Roaming Shadow just nailed it. Ally calling Krassus a bully is just creatively understating him. Of course he's far worse than a bully. She's just pointing up the same psychological makeup of both characters.

Basically, a selfish, self-centered psychopathic personality.
