But sneaking in dressed as caterers always works in the cartoons...

These tirades are starting to become tiresome. This comic is more akin to a saturday morning cartoon than a primetime drama. Different sets of logic apply. In cartoons, this sort of stuff is commonplace and accepted. In cartoons, the villains often reform when they're beaten, because now they know they aren't the most powerful person around, and can't simply get away with everything. If nothing else, they won't go back to their old ways for fear of the protagonists return.

As for the sneaking, that makes perfect sense even for adults. The disguise isn't a good idea, but as was stated, a frontal assualt is a bad idea, leaving sneaking in the best option. It's now a matter of how they get in undetected. Besides, did you see the looks they gave the horse? It wasn't a good plan to begin with and they knew it. Just because you speak up first doesn't mean you have the best plan of the group.

I will admit, this story has shown me some of my shortcomings as a writer. I can recognize that. I hope to improve my storytelling skills in the future and have better planned out storylines.

Having said that, yes, this comic is cartoonish. Gabe, you are reading WAY too much into this. I can understand constructive criticism, but you are over-analyzing a story that was never meant to be taken THAT seriously to begin with.

Roaming Shadow has it right. I was shooting for a story along the lines of a Saturday morning cartoon. The tone I seek to strike is somewhere between goofy and serious, depending on what mood I'm in when I write. But it IS a cartoon.

Gabe, please limit your discussion to the immediacy of the circumstances at hand. Going off on long diatribes about the logic of the story is becoming very tiring.

if you wanna do the discussion, start a page on TVtrope, Gabe, remember this area is for COMMENTS on the comic. there's a proper time and place for what you like to expound.. it's just not here, and what you're doing is preventing other people from WANTING to comment.
