- Surprise cameo by Dontamure, yay! Also, illegal use of an Atari cartridge! Everyone knows you got to toss Nintendo games if you want to cause the most damage...

Wonder if the zapper has a meld setting...it would be interesting to see what would happen if Magic user Ally and Science user Ceila had to literally work together for a while...

@Garrison: Perhaps the zapper does have a meld setting, when it's fully functional? Sadly, the zapper's control dial is stuck on one setting (as noted in the first strip in this story), so until it gets fixed, all it's good for is a hunk-a hunk-a burnin' 'taurs.

Note: The only thing ET: The Video Game can kill is Atari. Otherwise, it's ineffective.

FOUR BITS?!? Geesh, this foxtaur doesn't know two bits from her game consoles.

8 bit console, 4 bit indexed color.
16 bit console, 8 bit indexed color.
32 bit console, 16 bit color (indexed or real). Some can do 24 bit RGB.
64 bit console, 24 bit RGB.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I was just introduced to your fine comic and am currently going through the archive, and was wondering who is Dontamure and in which arc(s) does she appear previously?

@Herbie: Hello Herbie, glad to see a new reader. :)

Dontamure isn't a character in the comic, she's an artist who's done drawings for me in the past, and I was giving her a cameo as an inside joke because she loves 'taurs so much.

Hope you continue to enjoy the story!

Actually, the Atari 2600 was an 8-bit console. It wasn't until Sega aggressively marketed the Genesis over the Nintendo Entertainment System that people started caring about bits.

Of course, when the next generation came, people preferred the 32-bit Playstation over the 64-bit Nintendo 64 and that's when bits no longer mattered.

All of the main consoles in the generation after that were 32-bit. Playstation 2, Xbox, and Gamecube. Some people believe that the PS2 was an 128-bit console but those bits were jury-rigged with a process common to period 32-bit processors.

The next generation saw the Playstation and Xbox go 64-bit while the Wii was only 32-bit.

The current generation has all major consoles go 64-bit.
