- Derp, realized we hadn't named the device prior to this. (the name appeared in the script though)

Felicia puts her big mouths to use, and Ruth and Maria are left... heh, scurrying to get away. No dice!

For those that are curious, the cannonical acronym for A.R.S.E.N.A.L. is - Algorithmic Response: Subjective Exponential Natal Adjustment Laboratory.

Though since it's DarkWingDude's comic, it can stand for whatever he needs it to ^^

Ward: Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.
Hill: And what does that mean to you?
Ward: It means someone really wanted our initials to spell out "shield."

@Salen: kinda like my version of that in a comic book universe i've made up as a hobby for years, the U.N.C.O.R.R.U.P.T., or United Nations Containment, Observation and Rapid Response to Unusual Phenomena Taskforce. (tm) ;)

Acronyms in comics ( Reply )

This banter about acronyms and backronyms makes me think of a story arc in the webcomic Skin Horse. http://skin-horse.com/comic/todays-comic-1037/ is a good starting point for that arc. (If it seems confusing, relax; the girl with two hair colors is a sentient necrotic - a zombie, the other girl is a crossdressing former Army captain, the cute dog is the field team leader and the overall commander is the swarm of bees. ... um, okay, it's a little weird.)
