- On the plus side, Ally seems to have a convenient lead in. On the negative side, those shows don't exactly show magic users and the most positive light...

Oh the irony. What's also ironic is they are rabbits, and yet they have no children. X3

Interesting theory but as I see it, Ally is not a muggle and he is. Perhaps an incompatibility exists where they cannot procreate or . . . consider this: Perhaps they have chosen NOT to have children yet. It could complicate their lives in ways we are unable to imagine.

@Sir Rennifer of Avancourt: also entirely possible the girls aren't actually of age to procreate yet. remember Mass Effect? Asari have to be in the Matron Stage to actually have kids. Liara ISN'T and she's over a 100. longer-lived a species is, less it needs to procreate and all that.

@Pendrake: Heck, we don't even know what kind of weird hybrid would result from an enchanter/normal cross. My theory is that the girls are avoiding having kids because it would be so much harder to hide any weirdness with them.

Although, they probably are at least genetically compatible, given that they share distant ancestors.

Thus far, we don't actually know what the heck that meteor did to the primitives it zapped. Magic tends to ignore mundane science, so it may be that Enchanters are actually just as interfertile with mortals as mortals are with other mortals? Or not...

Calpurnia would have an utter _fit_ if any of the girls got pregnant. They're barely out of their teens (as enchanters go)! They don't have the experience to make safe, responsible choices. Gallivanting about with mortals as though they'd have a possibility of sharing their lives... okay, okay Cal, we get the picture.

As mentioned, this is an opening... but not a positive one... the truth that Ally and her friends are where they are for the right reasons would be likely lost initially to the bigger picture of their race's arrogance, indifference and antipathy... unless the lead in would be about "How about if there were some 'rebellious' ones who chose to be part of normal society and fight for those who needed to be saved from that ambush in some alley you mentioned?"

Regardless, not likely to go well... secrets like these have a habit of breaking trust...
