To quote many a person:
"What could possibly go wrong?!"

Pretty sure I can see where this is going.

  Notice a minor error ( Reply )

You have the thought bubble coming from Sheila, not her significant other.

Already told Cubist about the error.

As for the "where this thing is going", I knew it was going to happen as far back as when the mana flares started showing up. Before that point, I knew something was going to happen to the husbands but I wasn't sure what.

I know people could figure out where things were going from the setup. We have smart people here after all.

But do you all know how it's going to end? ;)

@tazel: I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's going to end with status quo being restored. That's usually a safe bet.

@tazel: I can't say for certain I know what will happen, but I can dream (pun intended).

Body swap: Husbands spend a day in the girls shoes, literally, and deal with the magic that comes with, while the wives have to pretend, badly at it, to be their husbands. At least one will probably be unusually better at their job/hobby.

Magic exchange: Girls become mortal while husbands deal with extra arms and magical abilities, and have to fight crime. Assume one will wear a silly outfit complete with a mask to hide their true identity.

Simple magic absorption: Husbands temporarily gain magical abilities, and chaos ensues with things happening they can't quite explain, leading to hilarious fun and a ton of facepalms from the wives having to clean up their husbands mess.

@ Marshal Banana: I'm actually hoping the status quo is _not_ restored. Hoping the six of them can stay as Enchanters. That is, assuming that's what'll happen to the husbands to begin with. ...Maybe I'm hoping for a little too much...

Edit: I'm hoping that the three husbands become Enchanters, while the wives stay as Enchanters too, no bodyswapping involved.

@tazel: I'm going to go with the M. Night Shamallamma Twist and say that nothing bad happens and everything's boring and normal except.... TOAST FALLS JELLY SIDE DOWN!

@Salen: So, EVERYTHING is normal then?

@Marshal Banana: But.... THE TOAST! Ooooooooo!

@Salen: Toast always lands jelly side down. It's physics. You hold it jellyside up and if you drop it, it rolls off of your fingers because of how you hold it, this causes it to filp. If you held it jellyside down, it would always land jellyside up. But then you'd get jelly on your fingers.

@Marshal Banana: In Mr. Shamallamma's world, toast landing jelly side down in a sign of THE DEVIL! Oooooooo! Spooky.

(No, it's not really that spooky. That's the joke. Also, this was totally a thing in one of M. Night's movies. I'm not even joking.)

@Salen: What if you tie the toast, with the jelly side up, to the back of a cat and drop it from an arbitrary height? Will the cat land on it's feet, or will the jelly touch the ground? Or will you have perpetual motion?

@Dimensional: The cat will land on its feet, because it is a living creature and can act in its own best interests, while the toast is an inanimate food object and just sits there.
Also, why are you wasting food tying it to the back of a cat, there are starving children in Africa. Or some such, I don't know.
